Greetings and welcome to the Halifax/Dartmouth Branch of CAFP.

With an organization mission focused on education and communication, the Halifax/Dartmouth Branch of CAFP works to offer lively and entertaining education sessions on current hot topics within the foodservice industry. The CAFP Halifax Dartmouth Branch offers opportunities for networking and social interaction combined with some great culinary and venue adventures.

Halifax/Dartmouth has an energetic and dynamic Student Branch active not only on Campus but with the Professional Branch, participating in Executive meetings and education programs. Each year the Student Branch extends an invitation to the Professional Branch to attend an evening of education and dining organized and hosted by the Students. It is an event not to be missed. This strong relationship with the Student Branch provides opportunities for professional development and networking, mutually beneficial to both groups. The MSVU Student Branch won the National Student Branch of the year in 2009 & 2010 and in 2011 Vanessa MacLellan, the 2010-2011 Student Branch President became the National Gold Plate Award winner.

In 2010, the Halifax/Dartmouth Branch began awarding the Bob Taylor Memorial Student Bursary. This award is open to students who are active members of a CAFP Student Branches for MSVU and St.F.X and to the Junior Chef's Association of NS. For more detail on criteria, click here.
