Welcome to the CAFP London Professional Branch!
The CAFP London Professional Branch has grown tremendously over the past few years. Our membership has increased through the different activities of recruitment. The professional members include food suppliers, private business owners, university/college professors, registered dietitians, dietetic interns and master students, and hospitality managers. The variety in members’ background provides us the unique opportunity to learn from each other and to extend our network. The London Branch has been able to offer outstanding monthly General Meetings to benefit both members and guests. They also give the group the chance to explore different venues across the city of London.
In London, one of the primary focuses of the Professional Branch has always been the Student Branch. We are proud to continuously supporting our Brescia Student Branch as the largest CAFP student branch with over 160 members. We encourage our professional members to network and mentor the students, and to lead them to the wonderful industry of foodservice. The student members have also benefited from attending various evens organized by the Student Branch, as well as the Professional Branch General Meetings. The Student Branch hosts the Award Dinner annually. This even has been the highlight of every year’s CAFP activities at the London Chapter. For the past several years, we were able to invite National CAFP representatives to attend the Award Dinner, which further reinforce the participation and involvement at both Student and Professional levels.
The current Executive Team of London is very excited about the incoming year. For the year of 2011-2012, we are aiming to further increase our membership, and provide more educational/networking opportunities for our members. We are welcoming visiting members from other CAFP branches! Please see the table below for more details for this year’s meetings.
