Welcome to the NB Branch
The NB Branch is in celebration mode! We are celebrating our 30th year as a branch, as well our success hosting the 2010 National Conference in Saint John, NB.
An anniversary is an opportunity to spend a moment reflecting on past achievements as we gaze into the future. Although small, our branch has contributed greatly both provincially and nationally. Over 40% of our membership has obtained their Credentialed Foodservice Executive (CFE) designation. Four of our members are past National Foodservice Executive of the Year winners as well we have numerous regional winners among our ranks. The NB Branch regularly fundraises for local food banks and we have been recognized nationally twice for this community service. We have branch members who have served and continue to serve nationally both on the board and a number of committees. These are only a few our success which we hope to continue to build on.
Our branch membership includes many long standing members, as well as new members who see the value of belonging to the Canadian Associate of Foodservice Professionals. It is this mix of new and old that keeps our roots firmly planted as we continue to flourish.
We hope you will join us to see the value of belonging to the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at various locations in southern New Brunswick. Our program includes a mixture of education and networking. We welcome and encourage guests, please contact our Branch President for more information.
Bienvenue à l’ACPSA chapitre du Nouveau-Brunswick qui a célébré son 25e anniversaire en 2005. Notre chapitre a évolué du chapitre de Moncton qui était en place depuis 1980. Un chapitre provincial englobe maintenant les différents secteurs de l’industrie du service alimentaire. Cette transition nous a aussi permis de recruter des membres de différentes régions de la province, notamment de Moncton, Frédéricton, Saint Jean et des environs. Nos réunions mensuelles fournissent un programme équilibré entre le développement professionnel et le développement social des membres ce qui reflète bien les objectifs de l’ACPSA. Vous aurez l’opportunité de vous joindre à un groupe d’individus provenant de différentes facettes de l’industrie des services alimentaires du Nouveau-Brunswick. Le chapitre est aussi fier de ses initiatives de levée de fonds pour les banques alimentaires locales.
Récemment notre chapitre a lancé un programme qui permet à un de nos membres de parrainer un individu qui s’intéresse à l’ACPSA d’assister à une de nos réunions mensuelles. Ce programme a été très positif et a permis de recruter quelques nouveaux membres.
Nous invitons tous ceux et celles qui s’intéressent à l’ACPSA de se familiariser avec notre programme d’évènements et de ce joindre à nous pour une de nos réunions mensuelles. Les invités sont toujours bienvenus et encouragés de nous contacter.
