Greetings and welcome to the Halifax/Dartmouth Branch of CAFP. With an organization mission focused on education and communication, the Halifax/Dartmouth Branch of CAFP works to offer lively and entertaining education sessions on current hot topics within the foodservice industry. The CAFP Halifax Dartmouth Branch offers opportunities for networking and social interaction combined with some great culinary and venue adventures.

Halifax/Dartmouth has an energetic and dynamic Student Branch active not only on Campus but with the Senior Branch, participating in Executive meetings and education programs. Each year the Senior Branch looks forward to an invitation for the Student branch to organize a hosted evening. This strong relationship with the Student Branch provides opportunities for professional development and networking, mutually beneficial to both groups. Congratulations to our MSVU Student Branch 2 years in a row award recipients of the CAFP Student Branch of the year!!

CAFP is one of the only industry associations that welcomes members from all sectors of the food service world. Members benefit from new relationships and information sharing with food service operators, chefs, consultants, educators, food manufacturing reps, equipments reps, corporate buyers, healthcare managers and directors, brokers and distributors. A diverse group with a common goal - dedication to enhancing the profile of the food service industry through ongoing professionalism and education – and having a good time while we’re at it!

The Halifax/Dartmouth Branch meets monthly, usually the 3rd Monday of the month. Meetings are held in a variety of locations and feature dinner combined with an education session. This year we are embracing the National Education Program and we already have some of our corporate speakers booked! Our focus this year is sustainability in the food service industry. Check out our draft schedule for dates and topics and mark your calendars, we would love to see you come and join us!

Our membership in 2007-2008 was 57 and we are always looking to add new members
