Toronto Welcome to the Toronto Branch of the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals. With nearly 170 members, Toronto is currently the largest CAFP Branch in Canada. Our diverse membership base consists of professionals working in all areas of the foodservice industry, including operations, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, sales, education, purchasing, and consulting.

Our branch is dedicated to delivering the best education, networking and mentoring opportunities possible to its members. Two key initiatives; Top Management Night, our gala event recognizing the leaders in our industry and Field to Fork, which aims to connect young people with the foodservice and hospitality industry; as well as a solid education program consisting of dinner meetings, plant tours and online sessions allow us to deliver this mandate to every member from student to CEO. The theme for our 2008/2009 monthly education program is Sustainability. More information, including dates, location and how to register is available at www.cafp.com/toronto by clicking on the icon for the event/initiative you want to know more about.

The Toronto branch supports five student branches: Centennial College, George Brown College, Humber College, Ryerson University and the University of Guelph. Each year we award over $10 000 to deserving students through our scholarship program. Graduating students are eligible for reduced fees during their first year in industry after graduation. In addition to working with local post secondary institutions, the Toronto Branch has added representatives from 5 Greater Toronto Area school boards to its Senior Management Advisory Council (SMAC), which consists of senior level executives from 14 companies who provide ideas, support and resources to the branch.
