Twenty-seven members of the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals were recently honoured by the Credentialed Food Executive Program: Eight were awarded the distinction of Credentialed Food Executive (CFE), eight students earned Student Executive Achievement, four members were renewed, three members achieved the honour of Fellow status, three members reached Emerald renewal status and one member, Delores Smith of the Halifax-Dartmouth Branch reached the pinnacle of fifth level renewal – Diamond status.
Members received their designations during the CAFP Conference “Diversity: Business, Culture, Food, Health” hosted by the Vancouver Branch from June 13 – 17, 2007 at the Coast Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The CFE program criteria identifies those professionals balanced in knowledge, experience and leadership capacity. Recipients exemplify the “leading edge” through self-motivation, enthusiasm for learning, and a commitment to managerial excellence. On behalf of the Canadian Tourism Human Resources Council, CAFP has credentialed the CFE program. It is the only nationally recognized program of its kind in Canada.
